Jersey Hospice Care are looking for a full-time Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide specialist Palliative Care, knowledge and skills in all community settings across the Island.

The Specialist Palliative Care Team are an island wide team who work collaboratively with all health care professionals to ensure patients and their families receive expert advice and support in relation to palliative and end of life care in all community settings whether this is at home, in nursing and residential homes or in hospital.

The post holder will be responsible for managing their own case load and work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high standards of effective palliative care by providing complex symptom management and holistic care in order to provide patients with the optimum quality of life possible.  They need to be able to work autonomously, manage their own case load and flexibly respond to changing situations.

The ideal candidate will have significant post registration experience of working with patients in a palliative care setting, hold a 1st level Registered Nurse qualification, 1st Degree in a Health and or Social Care related subject/Diploma), a Palliative Care qualification at degree level 6 and will be working towards a level 7 postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care and be NMC registered.
