Over the weekend, we held our Preloved Wedding Fair on the beautiful grounds of La Mare Wine Estate, raising £3,650!

The event showcased dozens of wedding dresses - some of which were brand new and kindly donated by the Bridal Emporium - as well as other new and preloved wedding attire for a bargain.

It was all about helping people find their special outfit for the big day - without the big price tag, and the added bonus of being a bit more environmentally friendly too!

There were three catwalks throughout the event, where our fabulous volunteers modelled the dresses, so people could see what they looked like off the rail and get an idea of how to style some of the outfits.

Speaking of - we couldn't have done it without the people who donated their time, and the fantastic clothing we had on offer, and of course La Mare for hosting the event and Bella Fiori for adding some beautiful floral decor too.

Julie Coward, an Ambassador for Jersey Hospice Care, says the charity is in the very fortunate position of having some wonderful donations and support from the people of Jersey:

"Half of them have been donated by Bridal Emporium, and the others have only been worn once.

They've made somebody happy, and they're going to make someone happy again.

We're raising money, and we're seeing beautiful things not being thrown away, but recycled."
