At times, you may need round the clock care that can be provided on the In Patient Unit.

The moments we share at the end of life and memories we make stay in the hearts of our loved ones after we’ve gone. That’s why it’s so important to make those final days as good as they can be, with the best care. At Jersey Hospice Care, we help our patients, and their loved ones live life to the full and provide free specialist palliative care so they can do so.
Like most people, you have either already looked after your loved ones in your Will, or you plan to. However, you might not have thought about how including a gift in your Will to your Hospice can be another way to look after the people you care about in their life’s journey.
Including us in your Will can be anything - big or small! - from leaving a share of your estate, or a fixed amount of money. No matter the gift, what you give will help our patients and their families at a time when they need it most.
Cheri Strudwick, Director of Income Generation, said: “Jersey’s population is ageing, so the need for hospice services is only going to grow in future. That means our need for your support is going to grow with it. A gift in your Will costs nothing today but makes all the difference for those we care for tomorrow, next month, next year, and into the future.”
Our care extends well beyond the walls of our Hospice. We support many people in the comfort of their own home, provide emotional and bereavement support (which is also open to people who’ve had a bereavement outside of Hospice), and provide workshops and training through our education services.
In 2023, we cared for nearly 800 patients and their loved ones, at Hospice and in the community. It costs £16,500 a day to deliver our services – most of which is raised through fundraising, donations, and our two retail shops. So, whether you’re leaving a gift in your Will in memory of a loved one or to provide care for your community, your thoughtful gift will ensure your kindness continues for years to come.
It’s more than just a donation; it’s a legacy of compassion and care – and knowing your Hospice will be there in the future and your help will make a difference for years to come.
