Loraine Fulton, the organiser, said: “I’m extremely proud and overwhelmed with the support for our half marathon! A huge thanks to everyone who helped make it such a great event - from our runners for taking part and their incredible fundraising, their friends and family who helped spur them on, and our wonderful volunteers and colleagues at Hospice who did everything from baking cakes for the finish, to being road marshals keeping our runners safe! A special shout out goes to Rock N Road Run Co for supporting our race packs, to our sponsors EY who helped make it possible, and to Rock n Road Runners who expertly managed one of our water stations and helped keep smiles on the runners faces. Plus, it was an absolute bonus that we were able to have one of our patients out at the finish line to watch his son cross it! A fantastic day all round.”

Francis Malaspina, a Partner at EY in Jersey, added: "It was a pleasure to sponsor the Hospice 2 Hospice half marathon for a second year. It was fantastic to see such a huge number of runners – across a range of ages and abilities – coming together in support of Jersey Hospice Care raising money for such a vital cause in our local community. We’re very much looking forward to building on the success of this year’s race to continue to grow the event and fundraising efforts for next year."
