The AJ Bell Great North Run is the world’s biggest half marathon, with 60,000 runners taking on the 13.1-mile route from Newcastle to South Shields - it's not one to miss!

The Course:

The race starts in Newcastle city centre and crosses the iconic Tyne Bridge into Gateshead. It then proceeds along the A184 (Felling Bypass) and A194 (Leam Lane) before heading north-east towards South Shields. The final mile runs along the seafront to the finish line.

We'd love to welcome you to our Hospice Heroes team. We have five places available. You'll need to pay a registration fee of £50 and set a fundraising target of £450. We'll be there to support you every step of the way.
