This adult support group is for those who have experienced a death of a partner or spouse. It’s an opportunity to join others who are experiencing similar losses and issues. Your relationships with others (and with yourself) can be transformed by exchanging similarities and differences with others impacted by a bereavement.

‘Looking back, moving forward’ runs for six weeks and is led by a qualified counsellor from the Community Bereavement Support Team at Hospice, providing a safe and supportive space.

The themes for each week are: 

Week 1: The Nature of Grief

Week 2: Coping with Loss

Week 3: Managing Difficult Emotions

Week 4: Sharing Memories

Week 5: Handling Special Occasions

Week 6: Readjustment
