New route for cycling favourite Tour de Jersey

Monday 16 Jun 2025

It’s time to gear up for Jersey Hospice Care’s Tour de Jersey. A firm favourite in the cycling calendar, this fun family event is back for another year and includes a brand new route.

The event is being held on Sunday 20 July, and has been made possible by the generous support of Mourant who are the headline sponsor for the second year running. There are a range of courses, all starting from Albert Pier, so cyclists can choose from the 7km Mini Tour right up to the 100km Full Tour. Sign up fees vary depending on which route you choose and your age – and participants are encouraged to raise at least £50 in sponsorship.

Scott Douglas, Events Manager, said: “This year, we’ve introduced a new route to make the Tour de Jersey even more accessible and family-friendly than ever. As well as the Mini Tour for those just starting out, the new 11km Bay Tour is designed for confident young riders or families wanting a scenic spin. There is then the Railway Tour for those ready to go a bit further, and more experienced riders can opt for the 50km Half Tour or the 100km Full Tour.”

“Last year’s event raised more than £17,000 which goes directly to providing essential care and support for our patients and their families - so every pedal really does make a difference. It promises to be a fantastic day out for all ages, from kids on scooters to seasoned cyclists.”

Mike Jones, Managing Director of Mourant Consulting, said: “We’re incredibly proud to partner with Hospice for a second year to support this meaningful fundraising event. At Mourant, we believe in the power of community, and this challenge allows people from all walks of life to come together to support a really important cause, whilst getting active and exploring the sights of Jersey. Mourant is home to many keen cyclists who are excited to contribute to a charity which has touched and supported so many islanders and their families over the years.”
