Local Giving, Lasting Impact: How Jersey’s Kindness Creates Moments That Matter

In Jersey, we understand the power of community. It’s in the way we care for one another, especially during life’s most difficult moments. At Jersey Hospice Care, that spirit is at the heart of everything we do — and it’s made possible by the quiet generosity of those who give regularly. 

Every day, our nurses, counsellors, and volunteers support Islanders facing the end of life or grieving someone they love. They offer expert care, a listening ear, and the kind of compassion that turns painful moments into meaningful ones. These moments — the hand held, the pain eased, the peace found — are not just symbolic; they are the direct result of consistent, local support. 

Thanks to regular donations: 

• Someone mourning a loved one can begin to heal through bereavement support.
• A patient in pain receives the medical supplies they need for comfort.
• A nurse working late into the night can access expert advice through our out -of-hours healthcare professional’s phone service. 

Even modest monthly gifts make a lasting difference:  

• £5 per month (£60 per year) helps fund two bereavement sessions.
• £10 per month (£120 per year) covers a full day’s worth of medical supplies.
• £25 per month (£300 per year) sustains our out-of-hours advice line for healthcare professionals. 

This kind of support allows us to plan ahead, respond quickly, and ensure that no one in Jersey faces death or grief alone. It’s not just about funding services — it’s about building a foundation of care that touches lives across the island, every single day.
