The former Chairman of the Jersey branch of the British Heart Foundation has joined Jersey Hospice Care’s Council of Trustees.
Haydn Taylor becomes the 12th person on the Council, which is chaired by Goetz Eggelhoefer. Mr Taylor is Chairman of Titan Wealth in Jersey and brings more than four decades of experience in banking and stockbroking to his new trustee role.
Mr Eggelhoefer said he was delighted to welcome Mr Taylor to the Council of Trustees.
“It is vital to the future of Jersey Hospice Care that we have a strong Council of Trustees who can provide strategic leadership and exemplary corporate governance and I am thankful that I am surrounded by such high calibre, dedicated volunteers,” he said.
“Haydn’s extensive leadership experience in financial services, combined with his strong commitment to the community, will be invaluable as we continue to develop and deliver our services for Islanders who need hospice care and support.”
Mr Taylor has a long-standing commitment to community and charitable causes, including more than seven years as Chairman of the Jersey Branch of the British Heart Foundation.
“Jersey Hospice Care plays a vital role in supporting Islanders and their families at some of the most difficult times in their lives. I am honoured to join the Council of Trustees and look forward to supporting the organisation’s continued work in delivering outstanding specialist care for Islanders with life limiting conditions.”
As part of the changes to our Council, we also recently welcomed two Trustees, Julie Le Cornu and Heidi Gibault. Julie brings with her a wealth of knowledge as a GP for decades, working across the Island, UK and Australia, and outreach care in the Amazon. Heidi is an experienced HR professional and Group Executive Director at Law at Work Group.
Our trustees all play a vital role in the running of Hospice. As a council they provide overall governance, but we also use their individual skills and expertise as best we can across all of our services. With such varied experiences, we are confident we have the best people in place ensuring Hospice continues to move forward to provide the most excellent and up to date specialist care and support.
