Trustees that make a difference

Be part of our story

A Council of Trustees oversees our activities and is responsible for implementing the vision for current and future services through the development of strategy, policy, good governance and support of the charity’s executive team.

We are looking to recruit up to three new Trustees on Council this year, to complement the balance of existing skills, experience and knowledge. Applicants should be able to demonstrate proven leadership and governance skills at board level, gained in a clinical, commercial or community context.

We would particularly welcome interest from individuals with professional skills or competencies in:

  • Delivery of clinical services
  • Retail experience in a multi-site operation
  • Digital media, including current ICT expertise and the use of social media

We are keen to have a Council that represents a wide range of perspectives and viewpoints from all levels and is representative of the whole community in Jersey. We would welcome applications from individuals who could improve the diversity of Council and who could contribute to the sustainable future of Hospice for Jersey’s community.

If you are interested or know of someone with the relevant background and experience, who may be interested in applying and has the capacity to take on this unremunerated role, please share this information and contact our Chairman Stewart Rowney. Email on a confidential basis and for a Trustee application form.
