We are delighted to confirm that all of this year’s Million Pound Lottery tickets have been sold.
Steven Hunt, Chairman of Fundraising at Jersey Hospice Care, said, ‘We are absolutely thrilled that they have sold out so quickly this year. We believe that the central location for ticket sales and the popular early bird draw, kindly sponsored again by de Gruchy, have contributed to them selling out so fast.
‘Jersey Hospice Care is here for the community and funded by the community. The Million Pound Lottery is a great way for us to give something back to those who so generously support us.
‘A huge thank you everyone who has bought a ticket. I wish you luck for the draw in September. We are also enormously grateful to the army of volunteers who have supported us by selling tickets since they went on sale in May – we really couldn’t have done this without you.’
A total of £1,300,000 in prize money will be given away, with £1 million as first prize, followed by prizes of £100,000, £75,000, £50,000, £25,000 and five prizes of £10,000. As well as giving back to the community, the Lottery raises £800,000 for the specialist palliative care charity.
We will be releasing full details of the draw, which takes place on Friday 7 September at The Royal Yacht Hotel, next month.
