Press release: Deputy Chief Executive Officer appointed as Acting Chief Executive of Jersey Hospice Care
Jersey Hospice Care are delighted to announce the appointment of Gail Caddell as Acting Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of former CEO, Emelita Robbins. Mrs Caddell takes on this role having been both Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Palliative Care Services at Hospice. She brings over 25 years of experience of working in palliative care, in clinical nursing, specialist nursing and leadership within a Hospice environment, the last seven and a half years of which being at Jersey Hospice Care.
Chairman of the Council of Trustees, Julie Coward, said: “As we begin the process of recruiting for a new CEO, I am delighted to announce this appointment. Gail Caddell’s knowledge, experience, and long-term commitment to Hospice will ensure continuation of outstanding patient care at Jersey Hospice Care.”
Mrs Caddell joined Jersey Hospice Care as a Lead Nurse in 2013, this role soon developed into Director of Palliative Care Services and later, Deputy CEO, where Mrs Caddell has continued to harness her passion for outstanding patient care to help drive many of the charity’s initiatives in the past seven and a half years. This includes Hospice’s dedication to supporting outstanding palliative care across the Island through education and training.
