Care at Hospice
At times you may need round the clock care that can be provided on the In Patient Unit.
Multiple dates
The Bereavement, Grief, Loss & Resilience Workshops are for anyone in a profession who wishes to deepen their understanding of the issues surrounding grief, loss and bereavement.
We all encounter people who have been bereaved, during our working lives, be it clients, customers, or colleagues and even the most confident person can find it hard to know what to say. Our workshops are designed for anyone in a professional role, who wants to understand the issues surrounding bereavement and how to communicate with clients, patients, and customers after someone close to them has died.
The aim of this course is to “normalise” grief and the process of bereavement, to introduce the various helpful grief models and to support participants with how to acknowledge and support those experiencing grief.
We will also explore the importance of resilience and wellbeing skills and the impact these can have on those dealing with bereavement, grief and loss or in the provision of support for those experiencing the process. The training days are interactive and informative and provide an opportunity to have your questions about this taboo subject answered.
The Workshops are presented by Mary Le Hegarat (Registered and Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor and a member of the Association of Bereavement Service Coordinators (ABSCO), National Bereavement Alliance (NBC) and a member of EMDR Association UK) and Geoff Benning (Education Manager, Jersey Hospice Care).
