WHERE: Island wide

About the event

This year's theme is 'This is what it takes'

Hospice Care Week is an annual week of activity to raise the profile of hospice care. Each year we join Hospice UK and over 200 charitable hospices across the UK for a week of celebration and action, which aims to change people’s perceptions of hospice care. The week gives us an excuse to talk about the extraordinary work that hospices do at the heart of their communities. It is also an opportunity to inspire action – inviting our supporters to get involved by showing their support as well as raising funds for Jersey Hospice Care.

In line with Hospice UK, our focus will be on “what it takes” highlighting what it takes to deliver holistic care. We will also be encouraging the community to show their support for Hospice that week and engage with ‘Go Yellow Friday’.

It’s completely up to you how yellow you go – perhaps you could dress in yellow for the day, hold a yellow social distanced cake sale, decorate your home, school or workplace yellow, or even hold a yellow party for your friends, family and colleagues with yellow food, decorations and entertainment.

We do hope that you might be able to join us during the week of 05th – 11th October. Every penny you raise supports people living with a life limiting illness and their families … So together… LET’S GO YELLOW!
