Jersey Hospice Care are seeking to recruit a Trainee Shop Assistant who will work with employees and volunteers in assisting with the operation of the retail fundraising shops, on a full-time permanent basis, working 5 days in 6 on a Rota basis, Monday to Saturday 8am to 5pm.

The post holder will be responsible for greeting customers, answering queries, assisting shoppers in purchasing goods and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent customer service. Other duties include assisting drivers with deliveries and collections of furniture, receiving donations, replenishment of stock and maintaining the shop floor in line with required standards.

The ideal candidate will be approachable, enthusiastic, organised, have an interest in customer service within a retail environment and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
