Jersey Hospice Care is looking for experienced and enthusiastic Health Care Assistants with a caring nature to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. If you have the required skill set, we would welcome an application from you.

The postholder will be based within the In Patient Unit at Jersey Hospice Care providing excellent individualised specialist palliative care and end of life care for our patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with patients in a care environment, hold excellent interpersonal skills, be compassionate and hold an NVQ/QCF level 2 or 3 or RQF qualification in Health and Social Care. Hours are 37.5 hours per week although flexibility is required to cover a 24/7 shift pattern.

Jersey Hospice Care have a dedicated In-house Education Team who will provide you with mandatory and statutory training. In addition, we offer a range of staged education and development opportunities for our HCA workforce. This includes the opportunity to complete the nationally recognised Care Certificate which supports you to learn and consolidate the fundamentals of care. You will also develop skills within an end of life care competency framework and the opportunity to apply for a Level 3 vocational qualification in end of life care.
