Coffee Shop - Pure Charity

Pure Charity is the new coffee shop in the Central Market in St Helier, opposite the fountain.

The Pure Charity coffee shop is, as the name suggests, a purely charitable venture with 80% of its net profits being donated to Jersey Hospice Care (and the remaining 20% to the Ecce Homo Trust). Antonia Cooke, Nikki Ascroft, Imar Joseph (pictured below) and their friendly team offer a range of homemade cakes, biscuits and goodies, hot drinks, wholesome soups, sandwiches and paninis.

In order to keep the running costs down (so more can be donated to the charities) they have enlisted a merry band of volunteers to help prepare the food and run the coffee shop.

Antonia said: ’We want to offer a back-to-basics menu using good quality, locally sourced produce and supplies wherever possible. Our slogan is ’Great Food for a Great Reason’ and we hope our customers will agree with that!’

Jersey Hospice Care Fundraising Chairman, Diane Weber said: ’This is an incredibly generous and imaginative gesture and we hope that everyone will help to assure its success. Our grateful thanks go to Antonia and the team and we wish them the best of luck.’

Opening hours: Monday - Saturday 8am-4pm (Thursday until 2pm)

Telephone: 01534 724609
