Retail Shops

Jersey Hospice Care has two retail shops. Our shops stock good quality items at bargain prices, so pop in for a look; you may be surprised at what you find!

Each shop plays a primary role in generating much-needed revenue towards patient care.

Collections / deliveries

Please call 487982 to arrange collection of any large items or a large quantity of items that you wish to donate to our shops.

We also offer a delivery service for furniture and large items for a fee of £20.

Shop volunteers

There are currently about a hundred and fifty volunteers between the ages of 17 and 90 years old who help run the two shops but we are now seeking additional volunteers to help the teams with the larger town shop and additional trading days at Beau Pre. Volunteers are required to donate a minimum of one three hour shift a month. Anyone interested should contact John Leggett on 876555 or john@jerseyhospicecare.com.

More information

The Hospice Shop - Town

The shop is now double the size it was previously, enabling more goods to be displayed including adult and children’s clothes, shoes, fashion accessories, toys, kitchenware, bric-a-brac, pictures, jewellery, linen and books. The building in Union Street was founded in 1999 following the generosity of Phyllis De Louche in memory of her late husband.

The Hospice Shop - Country

The larger shop at Beau Pre, St Ouen, stocks items from New through Vintage to Antique at very competative prices.  The items include furniture, clothes, toys, sports equipment, books and jewellery.

Directions:

From Les Chenolles with Catherine Best (the windmill) on your right, carry on the main road, around double bends, until you come to a fork in the road. Take the right fork into Rue de la Croix, the Jersey Hospice Care shop is almost immediately on your right (See page 48 of the Jersey Telephone Directory, grid reference B5). The map below is also on the Hospice Shop Flyer that you can download below.

Payment types

We no longer accept cheques as payment.

However, both of our shops now accept credit and debit cards for payments over £10.

Jersey Hospice Care Retail Limited

The trustees of Jersey Hospice Care have set up a wholly owned subsidiary company called Jersey Hospice Care Retail Limited which is responsible for the activities of the shops.

This is a significant development in the history of the Hospice and one which it is hoped will both secure and increase the monies raised from shop activities since this will become more critical as we re-develop Clarkson House to meet the anticipated increase in demand for palliative care and related services in future years.
