On the day of the Tour
Registration...
Registration opens from 8.30 on the day at the Communicare Centre, Les Quennevais. Your start time depends on your chosen route and are detailed below:
> 50 mile challenge route: 08.45 to 09.15
> 20 mile family route: 09.45 to 10.15
> 3 mile parent and child route: 10.45 to 11.15
At registration, you will be given your registration number and a route map.
If you have collected sponsorship money, we will be happy to collect this from you and a receipt will be issued to you by Jersey Hospice Care after the event. Any sponsorship money collected after the day can be posted to Tour de Jersey c/o Fundraising Office, Jersey Hospice Care, Clarkson House, Le Mont Cochon, St Helier, JE2 3JB.
If you have friends and family who are still interested in taking part, they can turn up and register on the day!
Before you set off...
Aaron Lappage from Jersey Bike Repairs (www.jerseybikerepairs.com) has very kindly agreed to be on hand at the start to give your bike a free safety check, should you wish. He will also be able to provide you with useful tips on how to maintain your bike and general cycle safety.
Given the changeable weather conditions over the past couple of months, please remember to check the local weather forecast and equip yourself accordingly (fingers crossed it'll just be sun screen that we need)!
Please wear a cycle helmet - they're not compulsory, but they do save lives!!
The routes...
Each route will clearly marked out with arrows on the road. The 50 mile route will be marked out in yellow, the 20 mile route in red and the 3 mile route in blue.
Water stations will be located periodically around each route at the following locations:

3) Top of Bonne Nuit bay
4) Gorey Common
5) West Park
20 mile family route
1) St Peter's Village
2) Top of L'Etacq hill
3) Rear of St Ouen's Manor
4) Sandybrook
3 mile parent and child route
1) Corbiere walk nr La Maudelaine Estate
2) Les Quennevais Cycle track
Each water station will provide water and a selection of mars bars/bananas. Closing times of the water stations will be available at registration.
Finishing and dropping out en route...
If you encounter any difficulties or decide to pull out en route, please call the telephone number that will be provided to you at registration. There is vehicle and St John Ambulance support, should it be needed.
On completion of your cycle ride, please check in again at the Communicare Centre. When you check in at the finish, you will be given your event water bottle/goody bag for children. After you’ve completed your cycle, you're invited into the Communicare Centre for some well deserved refreshments and the opportunity to swap stories with fellow cyclists!! The Communicare Centre will remain open until 5.00pm.
