Minute Secretary...

The Clinical Ethics and Governance (CE&G) Committee of Jersey Hospice Care are seeking a voluntary minute secretary to attend meetings every other month. The CE&G Committee meet at Clarkson House to discuss matters of clinical ethics and aim to ensure that good governance of the organisation is carried out. This includes the review of policy documents and referrals, as well as dealing with enquiries, comments and complaints.

Duties of the minute secretary include: drafting minutes of all meetings; circulating the minutes promptly, arranging the notice and agenda of all meetings; sending out relevant papers to all members in advance of each meeting and keeping the minute book and document records up to date.

Shop Volunteers...

We are looking for volunteers to help in our charity shop in St Ouen. The shop is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am – 4pm  and duties are many and varied and include serving, using the till, sorting donated goods, assisting customers on the shop floor, helping with collections/deliveries etc and volunteers are needed everyday (not just when the shop is open).

The charity shop at St Ouen is large and very busy, volunteers will be part of a team and should ideally be able to commit some regular hours each week and have a flexible approach to the varied tasks involved.

Fundraising volunteers...

If you can’t make a regular commitment to Jersey Hospice Care but still want to help out, then this is the role for you. Throughout the year Jersey Hospice Care has a number of events including our Million Pound Lottery, Dragon Boat Races as well as bazaars, fetes and fairs which require a lot of helpers.

As a registered volunteer you benefit from an induction course, training and regular updates. The Fundraising team will be delighted to speak to you, so please don’t hesitate to call them on 510349.
