In the meantime, how about organising your own Personal Challenge to raise money for Hospice? Here are some examples of some of the challenges which are happening at the moment:
Herman Wessels, a senior finance employee at Standard Bank this year intends to tackle three marathons in less than eight weeks, including a gruelling run in South Africa which involves completing the equivalent of two marathons in less than 12 hours. Herman hopes to complete the series in order to raise money for the local charity Jersey Hospice Care. To support the challenge, Standard Bank has agreed to back his efforts pound for pound.
Huard Fontaine is doing a trek to Everest Base Camp in October.
