Plans are already well under way for the 10th annual Condor Ferries Dragon Boat Race, which will be taking place on Saturday 20 September. Last year more than 40 teams took part and we are keen to make this event bigger and better than ever, with more teams and more on-shore entertainment, making it a real family fun day out.
As you may recall, the Dragon Boat Race is a day-long event during which teams of 16 people, plus a drummer, take to the water at the Albert Pier in light-weight Chinese-style Dragon Boats. Crews may be male, female, youth (12+), adult or any combination of the above and no experience is necessary!
As last year, a registration fee of £400 per team is required, which goes towards the cost of bringing over the Dragon Boats and professional crew to help you out on the day. In addition, you are invited to take this opportunity to raise £50 per person for Jersey Hospice Care through sponsorship.
This year we are looking to introduce a Corporate Entry Package, for £1,500. Included in this price is the opportunity to entertain up to 20 clients or members of staff with a champagne reception, the registration cost, your companies logo / branding appearing on one of the Dragon Boats, and t-shirts for your crew. Space will be restricted, so if you would like more information or are interested in this package, please let me know.
Because of the huge demand seen in previous years, places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and cannot be held without the registration fee.
