Million Pound Lottery 2008
An extra 1,000 Islanders stand a chance of becoming Jersey’s newest millionaire when the Million Pound Lottery 2008 in aid of Jersey Hospice Care takes place in July.
A total of 6,000 tickets – a thousand more than last year - will be available for the Lottery, which will be drawn on Friday, 25th July at the Grand Jersey. It will once again be broadcast live on Channel Television to allow as many ticket holders as possible to watch the draw.
The Million Pound Lottery, which has the biggest prize fund ever to be offered in Jersey, was launched last year. All 5,000 tickets sold out within a fortnight and the Lottery raised an incredible £400,000 for Jersey Hospice Care, making it one of the charity’s biggest fundraising events. The extra 1,000 tickets available this year will boost the potential fundraising total to £500,000 and add an extra £200,000 to the total prize money.
Prizes
A total of £1,300,000 in prize money is up for grabs, with £1 million as first prize, followed by £100,000, £75,000, £50,000, £25,000 and five prizes of £10,000. There is a one in 600 chance of winning a prize of least £10,000.

Syndicate Advice
If you are entering the Lottery via a syndicate then please download the document at the bottom of the screen for a sample agreement. Jersey Hospice Care will not be held liable for syndicate arrangements.
Last Year's Winners
The lucky winner of the top prize in last year’s Million Pound Lottery was a syndicate of 10 friends. They included Danny Bosio (30), who was due to get married a few months later. He was having a quiet drink with another member of the syndicate, Lee de Ste Croix, when they saw their numbers come up on the television screen in the bar.
He says: ‘We couldn’t believe it and neither did the others when we called them to say we’d won. They all thought it was a prank! The money we won made such a difference for me and my wife, Sharon, with the wedding and honeymoon coming up. The syndicate will definitely be buying another ticket this year.
‘I recommend anyone thinking of making a syndicate with family/ friends not to hesitate, it is the best odds you will ever get to win a large amount of money and what better way to share it!’
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
