London Marathon

Claire Syvret from Leighton Buzzard grew up in Jersey, and still considers it her home. She ran the London Marathon this year in 4 hours 18 minutes. She said: ’It was brilliant - I enjoyed every minute of it and it was a very surreal experience! I was really pleased with my time and managed to raised £700 as well for Jersey Hospice Care. My mum unfortunately died of cancer when I was six, and with what little memories I have, some of the happy ones were spent running around Clarkson House with my brothers and sisters. Given the support and help my family received it has been great to feel like I can give a little something back.’
