Jazz Factor

Marteen McCloat has been crowned the winner of Jersey’s first Jazz Factor!



Marteen, Rem Floris, Adam Fowler and Wilm Mattioli were the four finalists competing in last night’s event at Jersey’s Opera House.
 
The decision was made by judges Rebecca Day, Mark Labey and Peter Mac who marked all four finalists on intonation, stage presence and timing.
 
270 people turned out to watch the event which also featured appearances from Jerseyman Robbie Harvey on trombone and Tony Gardiner.
 
The competition was run in aid of Jersey Hospice Care and the Jersey Women’s Refuge, supported by the Well Swung Jazz Orchestra. 
 
More than £2,000 was raised for Jersey Hospice Care from this event.
